Retreat Date: Sunday, March 22th thru Wednesday, March 26th
(Wednesday is an optional day)
The price of the retreat is $400
Retreat price includes welcome cocktail party, access to the stitching room, goodie bag filled with surprises, an exclusive canvas and access to shop trunk shows provided by our visiting designers! Snacks, soda and water will be available in our stitching room. Coffee service and pastries will also be available in the mornings.
Room Rates:
Single Room - $615 plus tax
Double Room - $494 plus tax per person
Room Rate includes dinner Sunday night dinner, Monday breakfast/lunch/dinner and Tuesday breakfast/lunch. The rate also includes resort fee, tips, yoga and meditation fitness classes and outdoor winter activities such as ice skating, hiking, and snowshoeing.
If you choose to stay for the optional Wednesday stitching your Tuesday night room rate will include Tuesday night dinner and Wednesday am breakfast/lunch.
Daily Rate - Not Encouraged
Applies only if you're not staying at the resort
$195/day plus state and federal tax. Includes Lunch only each day of retreat. Daily rate is for those guests who are not staying overnight at Mohonk. You will need to tell us 30 days in advance if you plan to not stay at the resort but pay the daily rate each day.
*Dinner is not included or allowed in the daily rate. You will miss out on the evening festivities.
Designers Attending Retreat
We are excited to announce that Elizabeth Crane Swartz Designs, Gingham Stitchery, Plum Stitchery, and Elaine Aidonidis will be attending the retreat! The designers will have mini trunk shows during the retreat and plan to stitch and enjoy your company.
Elaine will run the optional studio time classes and will also be stitching with the retreat group!
Featured Designers
Elizabeth creates colorful, hand-painted statement jewelry and designs graphic, contemporary needlepoint canvases in her studio in rhode island. she’s been making hand-painted jewelry for years and in 2020 she learned to needlepoint and began designing her own canvases inspired by her jewelry. she’s a mother to three baby grownups, her husband is her best backup dancer, she loves an icy diet coke, mid century art and a glossy shelter magazine.
Joanna Somers started designing needlepoint in 2018, standing up at a built-in bookshelf while her toddlers were underfoot. Her children are bigger now, and she has a proper desk, but her designs still try to capture the whimsical, storybook feel she first set out to create. Besides her original designs, Joanna has the honor of collaborating with artists of other mediums to bring their unique work to stitchers of every style. Joanna lives in Ohio with her husband, four children, two dogs, and cat.
Lauren DeVous manages The Gingham Stitchery owned by Megan Holmes. The Gingham Stitchery represents 8 amazing artists from all over the U.S. Lauren is also a needlepoint teacher and found of Needlepoint Angels.
Elaine Aidonidis - Instructor
Elaine Aidonidis has always had a love for needle arts and was introduced to needlepoint over 20 years ago. Elaine has been working and teaching at needlepoint shops in Boston for the last 15 years and is currently at Stitch Boutique in Winchester, MA. She has held stitch & chat groups and specialty classes in several different shops in Boston, Cape Cod and Nantucket, as well NY, TNNA and Destination Dallas. Elaine has developed a passion for colors, fibers and stitch selections that make a canvas come to life.
Elaine attended the Stitch by Stitch 2023, 2024, and 2025 Mohonk Retreats and is returning based on popular demand! She has also taught classes at Stitch by Stitch in Larchmont, NY.
Elaine will be available for Studio Time Sessions during the Retreat. There will be a minimum of 5 sessions available for lottery winners to sign up for.

You are free to use the amenities at the resort. Please make your own Spa appointments, work out in the gym, swim in the pool, hike the grounds (weather permitting), take a tour...there is plenty to do at Mohonk!!!
Lottery Sign Up & Retreat Info.
You may register with up to 3 needlepoint friends
When you sign up, you may sign up with three friends....increasing your chances of getting into the retreat. You can also sign up by yourself or in a smaller group!!!
If signing up as a group, the "team captain" will include all names of your group, their phone number, email and instagram handle. ONLY ONE SIGN UP PER TEAM.
We will draw names on Monday, September 29th at 10AM on instagram live and we will let lottery winners know on Tuesday, September 30th. We will also create a waitlist in the event folks chosen don't confirm within 48 hours.
Lottery winners will be asked pay for their retreat fee ($400) within 48 hours of notification from Stitch by Stitch. This fee cannot be refunded or cancelled. Should a conflict arise in a schedule, we will contact people on the waitlist to help fill your spot. You will get information on how to book your room at the special Retreat price we have negotiated. You will also have the option to sign up for the optional studio time classes with Elaine Aidonidis.
Prior to the retreat, you can let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. The resort meals are buffet style so there should be adequate choices for all.
You will be stitching your own projects during the retreat so plan to bring your own tools, lighting, laying tools, stands if you need to use them for your project. The stitching room is large and has lots of windows/lighting...but can predict sunshine or clouds so plan accordingly.
