When my friends ask me about my love of needlepoint, my response is that I am a collector of fine canvases.  As a true collector, my stash of canvases far exceeds my ability to stitch them all.   

The gorgeous colors and stunning designs over rule my better judgement and I can't imagine not owning all of these wonderful canvases.  I feel confident that many can relate to my delightful predicament.

I began stitching shortly before my daughter was born, attracted by its portability, multiple uses for finished project, and gorgeous designs.  Needlepoint has not only provided a wonderful form of relaxation but also the priceless friendship of stitchers across the country.  It has given me the opportunity to make gifts for family and friends which i joyfully give as a token of my love and affection. 

Basketweaving is my stitch of choice but I will occasionally step outside my comfort zone and try a decorative stitch.  I love to stitch with different threads and find the many exquisite colors absolutely intoxicating.

One of the special delights of needlepointing has been discovering the wonderful shops which provide us with  beautiful canvases and threads and excellent advice and assistance.  What a gift it was to find Stitch by Stitch.  Although I have not had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful shop in person, I can attest to their outstanding customer service.  Whether it has been ordering a special canvas or the extra effort they put into kitting my project, I can't speak highly enough about the care they provide their customers.  It is pure joy to do business with the outstanding crew at Stitch by Stitch.
